President: Carolyn Klotzbach-Russell (email Carolyn)
Carolyn received her MLS in the Spring of 2013, with a focus in digital libraries and archives. She currently the Social Sciences Librarian for the University Libraries at the University at Buffalo. Carolyn also serves on the Nonprofit Technology Network’s Research Committee.
Vice-President: Kelly Sallandar (email Kelly)
Kelly earned her MLS degree from the University at Buffalo in 2013, with a focus in Archives and Records Management. After graduation, Kelly took a position at SofTrek Corporation, first as a project manager, and now as an analyst. In this role, Kelly works with non-profit organizations to understand, implement, and use the database software developed by SofTrek. She is also working with the management team at SofTrek to revise and improve the current knowledge management system, applying the many skills learned while an MLS student.
Secretary/Treasurer: Brenda L. Battleson White (email Brenda)
Brenda has been a Beta Phi Mu Beta Delta Chapter member since 1996 and spent 15 years working in academic libraries until she accepted a position as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the University at Buffalo’s Department of Information Science, primarily teaching courses related to information organization and collection development. She also serves as the Chapter’s faculty liaison to the IS Department. Brenda would like to see the Chapter build stronger relations with the LIS community through scholarly events like sponsored lectures and field trips as well as community service activities that involve all beta Delta members, regardless of their geographic locations.
Director: Catherine Dillon (email Catherine)
Catherine earned a Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies from Alfred University, where she also worked as an assistant to the University Librarian on the university history archive project. She went on to earn a Master's degree in Library and Information Science from University at Buffalo while managing Binghamton University's UDC Library. Her professional and academic work focuses on information processes, content management, and the classification of images and their discovery through current search methodologies. Since March, 2016 she has worked as a research assistant to support Dagobert Soergel in subjects of thought, such as information storage and retrieval, information relevance, and classification.
